Shakira shake it all the way to Afghanistan

On broadcasting a Shakira concert in Afghanistan, a TV station has received threats from Afghanistan’s culture minister and Muslim clerics. They said that it will have to face serious results for that and one pro-government newspaper has even said that it will provoke suicide bombers. But, according to the owner of the TV station, Tolo the show was not that provocative. Recently when Tolo TV had broadcasted footage of some MPs nodding off and interfering during debates, they were furious about that issue too.

In Afghanistan, media came into action only after the fall of the Taliban government in 2001.As stated to Britain’s Daily Telegraph, by Saad Mohseni, who was brought up in Australia, the government just wants some excuse or the other to threaten them. When they interview the Taliban, government blames them for talking to the terrorists and if they show people talking about the government’s acts, they are pointed out as opposing peace and reconciliation.

As far as the Colombian singer, Shakira is concerned, who is more popular for her gyration movements, has recently stepped out of a movie Love In a Time of Cholera, just because she was asked to appear nude.
