According to a research conducted by Chicago University, people who enjoy a healthy sex life stay healthy for a long time. Though, the longing for sex decreases with time, it has been seen that men and woman enjoy a healthy sex life even after 50 years. The urge for having sex is more in man then in woman and a healthy man can think about sex for at least up to the age of 70 while woman can think the same till 65.

Studies have shown that a man around 55 years can increase his life span by 5 or 7 years more if he continues to have healthy sex. They live longer lives than men who have a poor sex life. Women who continue to have active sex lives can increase their life span to around 6 six years more compared to woman who have a poor sex life. When people were interviewed, it was observed that people with active and healthy sex lives were much more interested in the world outside. They were filled with vigor and excitement compared to the people who had poor sex lives. The researchers also established the fact that, overall, people in very good quality or outstanding health were 1.5 to 1.8 times more probable to describe their interest in sex than individuals in inferior health.
