Lindsay Lohan sent away for reaching late at the very first day of community service

Lindsay Lohan reached 40 minutes late for her very first day of community service and the result? She was turned away for her later arrival! She was supposed to report for community service at 8:00 am on 21st October, instead she arrived in her stylish Porche at 8.40am.

The 25 year old actress has been directed to community service for the drunken driving cases she was arrested for. Asked for an explanation for the late arrival her publicist said that it was due to the lack of knowledge about the entrance to go through as well as the confusion caused by the media that was waiting there for Lindsay to arrive.

One may regard this as a careless attitude but later Lohan’s tweet reads different stating, “With all of the stress from yesterday and today, I have never been so happy to go to therapy”. Lindsay apologised saying that she was sorry for the confusion created and that now she knows where to go. But Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter is not convinced by the explanation given by Lindsay as, according to him, Lindsay had been to the morgue before, which entitles her to know the place where she should have been for community service. Lindsay would now require permission from her probation department as well as Judge Stephanie Sautner and will not be allowed at the morgue unannounced.

It was only yesterday that Lohan was blasted at, by Judge Saunter for not making any effort to complete her probation duties. Previously Lohan had been asked to complete her morge duty of 16 hours before the next court hearing that is going to be held on November 2 with Judge Sautner. It seems that Lindsay would not be in violation of her duties if she completes these hours of community service before her court due date in November. The Coroner’s office will however put forward today’s matter formally before the Judge. The Probation Volunteer Centre, which monitors Lohan’s probation, will also be notified.

A sentence of 480 hours of community service was also to be completed by Lindsay. This was a part of a sentence against the theft of a gold necklace by Lohan early this year. Lindsay is in major trouble as she has barely even touched this part of community service and now this new drama awaits the Judge. The only community service completed by Lohan was a day and a half at the Downtown Woman’s Centre in LA. She was absent for the rest of the nine days and the result of this was a rejection from the entire program. This week Lindsay was seen doing some volunteer work for Red Cross but it was ruled out as void by Judge Saunter, who stated that this was never a part of the sentence and only the time completed at the Woman’s centre would be counted.

LA County Sheriff Lee Baca stated that this issue will not keep Lindsay out of jail and that Lindsay surely needs jail time and at least 60 days of rehabilitation. Lohan also posted a $100,000 bail yesterday following her court hearing.
