On the contrary, an Australian study confirmed that dyspareunia or painful sex and loss of libido are two common side-effects of This drug and 1 in 12 woman experience these side-effects after they took Depo-Provera. On the other hand, another internet survey carried out in Great Britain said that a large number of women who used Depo-Provera complained of experiencing decreased sexual desire and that loss of libido was a common side-effect of this drug.
Weight gain: complain number one of Depo-Provera
It has been estimated that nearly 58percent of women or 6 in 10 women complained of rapid weight gain as a result of using this drug. Besides loss of libido, two other major side-effects were depression (54%) and aggression (56%). However, women who have been introduced recently to this drug have complained more about aggression, depression and losing sexual desire than weight gain.
