Ejaculation disorders that require diagnosis before it’s too late

Ejaculation process involves the coordinated action of muscular and nervous system that involves the deposition of semen in the urinary channel and ejection of this fluid from the urethral meatus. Ejaculation results from the contraction of the muscles around the urethra, which further causes forcible ejaculation of semen containing sperms. However, ejaculation isn’t that normal in some cases. There are mainly four types of ejaculation disorders found in men, which, if not diagnosed properly, could have far-reaching and demoralizing consequences. Here we’ve listed ejaculatory disorders for you:

Retrograde Ejaculation

During this type of ejaculation, the semen is pushed back into the bladder and, it does not come out of the penis during ejaculation in a normal way. The potential reasons for this type of problem are anatomic causes, neurologic causes, and pharmacologic causes. This problem is diagnosed by analyzing the urine sample and finding out the presence of semen in it. The specimen for this test is obtained by collecting urine after orgasm. Since the exact cause of retrograde ejaculation may vary from person to person, the treatment for each of these three problems differs considerably. Anatomic problem are rarely curable; pharmacological causes are generally reversible after withdrawal of offending medications, while the neurological causes are very difficult to treat if the damage to the nerves has occurred.

Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is one of the most common types of ejaculation dysfunction. In fact, sex specialists handle more patients of premature ejaculation, rather than those affected with erectile dysfunction. Various theories are there to reveal the causes for this type of problem. However, the major causes for this problem include psychological and physical factors. Doctors generally recommend using psycho-pharmacological cure for premature ejaculation. Some of the curative measures include the use of antidepressant medicines and anesthetics. Anesthetics prevent premature ejaculation by delaying the timing of ejaculation by several minutes.

Retarded Ejaculation

Retarded ejaculation is another problem a man can suffer from. This problem involves the inability to achieve orgasm in a timely manner, thus affecting sex life to a great extent. This problem generally increases in higher age groups wherein the patient is not able to ejaculate timely. The causes of this type of problem include use of medicines like antidepressants, psychological disorders and sensory neurological disorders. If a patient is worried about this problem, then use of penile vibrating therapy can help achieve orgasm timely. This therapy shows better results in patients who have delayed ejaculation than those who do cannot ejaculate at all.

Therefore, it is important for anyone to know the type of ejaculation dysfunction he is suffering from and accordingly, he should take the treatment.
