Fashion trends this Emmy

On a night dedicated to small screen stars, the celebs trotting down the red carpet oozed movie-star glamour.

The 58th annual Primetime Emmy Awards was all about curve-hugging gowns and vibrant colors and hues.

Purple was the most dominant color on the day. Actress Leah Remini, who showed her newly svelte figure in an elegant one-shouldered Versace. Evangeline Lilly took the Best Purple Dress award for her strapless Versace with crisscross pleats. But the head turner of the day was “Grey’s Anatomy’s” Katharine Heigl who steal the show with her beaded and nude-colored gown by Escada, with dramatic eyes and a ’40s screen siren updo.

Lace was another trend, as displayed by Virginia Madsen’s racy black lace number with a plunging neckline by Kevan Hall and Jaime Pressly’s stunning plum lace frock by Badgley Mischka.
