- In a survey of youths in the age group of 15 to 19, it was found that those who received comprehensive sex education were 50% less prone to become pregnant as compared to youths who had received abstinence only education.
- Around 48 programs on comprehensive sex education were studied and it was found that 40% of such programs helped to postpone sex initiation, 30% of the programs resulted in reduction of sex frequency in youths and almost 60% of the programs helped to reduce the rate of unprotected sex.
